Little Washington Winery

The first winery I’m going to feature is Little Washington Winery  (Rappahannock County). This is one of my favorite wineries and I’m a wine club member there. The owners are so personable and run the place themselves. They also opened a little shop in Little Washington, VA called Wine Loves Chocolate. It’s an awesome little boutique right by the Inn at Little Washington where you can purchase chocolates and wine – it’s a great little shop to check out & they offer wine tasting as well. Little Washington Winery features the Dirt Road Wine Tour, and this is one of my favorite things about them.

They feature different wines all the time, so every time you go for a tasting you get to try new things. Some wines are from their winery, others are from wineries around the world located off the beaten path. It’s a great introduction to different types of wines and it’s fun to see what they have to try each time we go. They also offer platters (bread, meat, cheese, etc.) so you can enjoy your wine either inside on the comfy couch facing the mountains OR you can take in the beautiful weather on their back deck that overlooks their property with a mountain view.

The Dirt Road Wine Club gets you discounts on wine, free tastings, wine events, and shipments of fun new wines to try monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly. These wines come from their winery as well as other small craft wineries around the world which is neat. They also hold seminars, wine boot camps, wine education classes, etc. Check out their website for more information!
